CDC Development Solutions, formerly Citizens Development Corps, is a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization. CDS is an international NGO that leverages public, private, and volunteer resources to strengthen businesses, institutions, and governments in emerging markets in over 70 countries on 5 continents. CDS has been operating for two decades and continues to provide innovative, market driven solutions utilizing a variety of methodologies that create sustainable economies.

Areas of Practice
CDS is organized around four key practice areas:
- Global Citizenship and Volunteerism - CDS recruits, trains, places and supports skilled volunteers who provide management and technical assistance to small businesses, educational institutions, NGOs, advocacy organizations, associations, local governments, and communities - all who benefit from this highly effective form of foreign assistance and citizen diplomacy.
- CDS has global network of over 10,000 expert volunteers which fall into four categories:
- The MBA Enterprise Corps
- MBAs Without Borders
- Skills-Based Volunteer Advisors
- International Corporate Volunteers
- Supply Chain Development - CDS provides business training, technical assistance, and other capacity building tools that address critical market, financial, and technical constraints and enable MSMEs to integrate their products and services into supply chains.
- Tourism Development - CDS’ work in the tourism sector primarily revolves around the identification of “value gaps”—links in the value chain where opportunities for local development through job creation, new business planning and supplier relationships have not been yet realized.
- Stability and Economic Recovery - CDS promotes growth and sustainable livelihoods in countries facing political or economic crisis or addressing the aftermath of natural disasters or conflict.
Executive Leadership
Deirdre White, President and CEO - With over 20 years’ experience in international development, Ms. White is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of CDC Development Solutions.
Michael Levett, Senior Director and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors - Mr. Levett has led the company’s expansion into over seventy countries on five continents with diversified funding.
Robert Webster, Vice President - Mr. Webster oversees the four practice areas of Tourism Development, Supply Chain Development, Stability and Economic Recovery, and Global Citizenship and Volunteerism.
Moussa Diouf, Chief Financial Officer - Mr. Diouf has responsibility for upholding strong financial management and accountability; providing timely, accurate and reliable financial information; and enhancing internal control.
